What is a Hardcore server?
Hardcore servers play Minecraft with one rule that changes everything — when you die, you're done. No respawn, no second chance, no exceptions.
- One life only. Die and you're locked out, sent to spectator, or banned for a cooldown — depending on the server's exact ruleset.
- Survival difficulty cranked up. Most hardcore servers run on Hard, some add custom mobs, harsher hunger, and removed mob mercy mechanics.
- Seasons and resets. When enough players die or a target is hit, the world resets and a new season begins — keeps the population alive.
- Free on Java and Bedrock. Crossplay between PC and mobile via Geyser. Bring any legitimate Minecraft account.
- Make your own hardcore world. Free Minehut hosting spins up a hardcore server in under a minute — see /server-plans for paid tiers.
Frequently asked questions
How do I join a Hardcore server on Minehut?
Connect to mc.minehut.com from the Minecraft Java multiplayer menu, then pick a Hardcore server from the list above and join it through the Minehut lobby with /join <name>. From Bedrock Edition, connect to bedrock.minehut.com on port 19132.
What's the difference between Hardcore and Anarchy?
Hardcore is about a single life — when you die, you're out, often via spectator lock or a temp ban. Anarchy is about no rules — you can die a hundred times, but griefing, raiding, and PvP are all fair game with no admin interference. Hardcore raises the stakes per death; anarchy removes the rulebook.
Can I make my own Hardcore server?
Yes — Minehut hosts community servers free of charge. Spin up a server in under a minute and toggle hardcore mode or install a hardcore-lives plugin from the in-panel marketplace. See /server-plans for paid tiers.
Are these Hardcore servers free?
Yes. Every Hardcore server listed here is free to play on Minehut. You only need a legitimate Minecraft Java or Bedrock account.
