What is a Hub server?
A hub server is a central lobby that routes you to other game modes — pick a portal, click an NPC, or run a command and you're teleported into the game.
- One lobby, many modes. Hubs are the front door to a network. Walk through a portal or click an NPC to load into minigames, survival, PvP, or any linked game mode.
- Social by default. Hubs are where players hang out between games — chat, cosmetics, parkour challenges, and lobby games keep the space lively.
- Cosmetics and parkour. Most hubs reward time spent with hats, particles, pets, and built-in parkour or hide-and-seek courses around the spawn area.
- Free on Java and Bedrock. Every hub server here is free to play. Crossplay between PC and mobile via the Geyser bridge on most servers.
- Make your own network hub. Free Minehut hosting spins up a lobby server in under a minute — link it to your other servers via BungeeCord-style plugins. See /server-plans for paid tiers.
Frequently asked questions
How do I join a hub server on Minehut?
Connect to mc.minehut.com from the Minecraft Java multiplayer menu, then pick a hub server from the list above and join it through the Minehut lobby with /server <name>. From Bedrock Edition, connect to bedrock.minehut.com on port 19132.
What's the difference between a hub and a lobby?
The terms are usually interchangeable — both describe the central social space where you arrive before picking a game mode. Some networks call the entry point a 'lobby' and a themed sub-lobby a 'hub', but most servers use one term for both.
Are these hub servers free?
Yes. Every hub server listed here is free to play on Minehut. You only need a legitimate Minecraft Java or Bedrock account.
Can I make my own hub server?
Yes — Minehut hosts community servers free of charge. Spin one up, install a lobby plugin pack, link it to your other game-mode servers, and you've got your own network entry point. See /server-plans for paid tiers.
