What is a Prison server?
Prison servers turn Minecraft into a rank-up grind — mine ores, sell them, climb through lettered mines, and eventually prestige into harder tiers.
- Rank A through Z. Each rank unlocks the next mine with rarer ores and better payouts. Most servers gate higher ranks behind PvP-free zones.
- Enchant your pickaxe. Custom enchants like Fortune, Explosive, and Auto-Sell turn slow grinds into combo chains worth millions per minute.
- Prestige and rebirth. After Z, prestige resets your ranks for permanent multipliers — the long-tail loop most Prison servers are built around.
- OP, classic, and RPG flavors. Some servers are vanilla-feeling, others jump straight to OP enchants and instant millions. Pick the pacing you like.
- Free on Java and Bedrock. Crossplay between PC and mobile via Geyser. Just bring a legitimate Minecraft account.
Frequently asked questions
How do I join a Prison server on Minehut?
Connect to mc.minehut.com from the Minecraft Java multiplayer menu, then pick a Prison server from the list above and join it through the Minehut lobby with /join <name>. From Bedrock Edition, connect to bedrock.minehut.com on port 19132.
What's the difference between Prison and OP Prison?
Classic Prison runs at slower rank-up pacing with modest enchants and balanced shop prices. OP Prison cranks every dial — instant millions per block, enchant levels in the thousands, fast prestiges. OP servers feel arcade-y; classic servers feel like a long grind. Both share the rank-and-prestige loop.
Can I make my own Prison server?
Yes — Minehut hosts community servers free of charge. Spin up a Prison server in under a minute and pick a Prison plugin from the in-panel marketplace. See /server-plans for paid tiers.
Are these Prison servers free?
Yes. Every Prison server listed here is free to play on Minehut. You only need a legitimate Minecraft Java or Bedrock account.
