What is Cobblemon?
Cobblemon is a Minecraft mod that adds creature-collecting gameplay — catch, train, and battle cobblemon in multiplayer matches on Java servers.
- Java mod required. Install Cobblemon via Fabric or Forge in your Minecraft Java client, then connect to mc.minehut.com.
- Catch, train, battle. Multiplayer gyms, wild encounters, raid bosses, and trading economies built on top of the base Cobblemon mod.
- Java only — but free. Cobblemon doesn't render on Bedrock clients. You need Minecraft Java Edition. No paid subscription needed.
- Different from Pixelmon. Newer, designed for modern Minecraft versions, with custom 3D models and a cleaner Fabric/Forge build.
- Trade and earn. Most Cobblemon servers ship their own economy, auction house, and quest lines so progress feels meaningful.
Frequently asked questions
How do I join a Cobblemon server on Minehut?
Cobblemon is a Java Edition mod. Install Cobblemon (via Fabric or Forge) in your Minecraft Java client, connect to mc.minehut.com, and pick a Cobblemon server from the list above through the Minehut lobby.
Is Cobblemon on Bedrock?
Cobblemon is a Java Edition mod, so the mod itself doesn't run on Bedrock. Bedrock players can connect to Minehut via the crossplay bridge but won't see Cobblemon content. To play Cobblemon, use Minecraft Java Edition with the mod installed.
Is Cobblemon free?
Yes. The Cobblemon mod is free, and every Cobblemon server listed here is free to play on Minehut. Just bring a legitimate Minecraft Java account.
How is Cobblemon different from Pixelmon?
Both are creature-collecting Minecraft mods. Cobblemon is newer, built around modern Minecraft versions, and supports Fabric and Forge with custom 3D models. Pixelmon has a longer history and a different aesthetic. The core gameplay loop — catch, train, battle — is similar.
